Mary Ann Urban Memorial GEM Foundation
"The Only U in the Book"
The Mary Ann Urban Memorial GEM Foundation was created to honor the memory of Mary Ann Urban, Ways and Means Chairperson for the Fairfield Glade Ladies Club. Mary Ann passed away on January 1, 2025.
Mary Ann joined the Ladies Club in 2018 and immediately raised her hand to volunteer as chairperson for our Ways and Means Committee. Over the next six years, Mary Ann and her team raised just over $100,000 in donations that contributed to the Ladies Club mission of supporting local charitable organizations. Her kindness, humor and enthusiasm were a gift to the Ladies Club.
We have created a GEM foundation in her name to raise money for a specific charity that honors Mary Ann’s memory. The beneficiary of these funds will be the Hope Manning Scholarship fund, administered by the House of Hope.
